Playlist swaps between curators, written down and checked every day.
Swapdeck is where independent curators and labels swap playlist positions. Each swap records the songs, the playlists, the positions and the dates the two of you chose, schedules them on Spotify, and checks them daily.
30 days with every feature, without a card. After that you stay on Free unless you pick a plan. Swapdeck only changes the playlists you add to it, and you can disconnect Spotify whenever you want.

Example dataHow a swap runs
Pick a song and your partners
Choose a song from your catalog and one or more of your connections. Each one gets a separate request, so one refusal never holds up the others.
Review what they send back
Listen to their song, approve or decline it, then choose which of your playlists it goes into and at which position. A position already given to another swap cannot be chosen twice.
Both of you accept
Nothing is placed before that. Then the swap is scheduled: each song is added at the position its host chose, for the length you set together, from 7 to 365 days. Either of you can end it at any time.
The daily check
Once a day the app checks that each song is still at its position and logs the day. You see estimated listeners for both sides, or measured streams where Reader access was given. When the period ends, both songs are taken out again.
Playlist management comes with it
- Several Spotify accounts in one place: reorder, add, remove, set a position lock, spot duplicates.
- Follower history for every playlist: change since yesterday, over the month, daily average, charts up to a year.
- A network you choose: Discovery lists curators by genre, and you only swap with your own connections.
Pricing
Every new account gets 30 days with every feature. When the trial ends you stay on Free; nothing is deleted.
Plans for curators
| Plan | Per month | Running swaps | Playlists | Spotify accounts | Position locks | Catalog songs | Swap length | Pre-release swaps |

| Free | Free | 2 | 2 | 1 | Not included | 5 | Up to 28 days | No |
| Starter | $9 | 12 | 5 | 1 | 5 per playlist | 10 | Up to 28 days | No |
| Advanced | $13 | 33 | 20 | 2 | 10 per playlist | 20 | Up to 28 days | No |

| Enterprise | $50 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Up to 365 days | Yes |
A running swap is one both sides accepted and that is running now; pending requests do not count. Upgrades apply at once and are prorated; a downgrade starts when the period you paid for ends.

Song Grade turns a popularity score into a decision
Spotify gives every track a popularity score from 0 to 100. On its own, a 38 says little. Song Grade records the score every day and compares it with two things at the same age: your own earlier releases, and other releases in the same genre.
- Top and High mean the release is ahead of where your catalog usually is on that day. Keep promoting.
- Avg means it sits around your median. Watch it before spending more.
- Low and Stop mean it trails your own releases and its genre. Move the budget elsewhere.
New artists with few releases are graded mostly against their genre; the weight shifts to your own catalog as it grows. With fewer than five songs to compare, read the grade as an early signal.
Popularity score checker
Enter a track's current score and how long it has been out. The estimate uses a typical release curve, not your catalog.
Questions people ask first
What access to my Spotify account do you need?
Permission to read your playlists and to edit the ones you add here. That is what lets the app add a swapped song at the position you chose and take it out when the swap ends. It never touches playlists you did not add, and you can disconnect an account from your profile at any time.
Where do the numbers in a swap come from?
By default they are estimated listeners: an estimate worked out from the playlist's followers and the position of the song, and labelled as an estimate. Measured streams are shown only for artists whose team gave our reader account Reader access in Spotify for Artists. Reader access is read-only: it lets us read daily streams and where they came from, not edit releases, pitch, or see payouts. Measured streams arrive about 48 hours late, and you can remove the access in Spotify for Artists at any time. If you are not the rights holder, skip it; your swaps keep showing estimates.
What happens if my song is no longer in my partner's playlist?
The daily check notes it, marks that day as not verified so the numbers show it, and tells both of you the same day. If the song is still missing after three daily checks in a row, the swap ends and their song is taken out of your playlist too. You can also end a swap yourself at any time.
Can I swap a song that is not released yet?
On plans with pre-release swaps, yes. Add the upcoming release with its date and a private listening link. The swap is scheduled and starts on release day.
How is the Song Grade calculated?
For each day since release, the track's popularity score is ranked against your other releases at the same age and against releases in the same genre at the same age. The two percentiles are blended, leaning on the genre while your catalog is small. 90 and above is Top, 70 High, 40 Avg, 20 Low, below that Stop.
Do you sell placements or streams?
No. Nobody pays or is paid for a position here, and no number of streams is promised. Two curators each recommend a song to the other; each listens first and is free to decline, and either can end the swap whenever they want. Swapdeck is the software that schedules and checks what they chose. Members are expected to follow Spotify's rules for playlists.
Track, artist and playlist information shown in Swapdeck comes from Spotify, and every item links back to it on Spotify.
